Award and Application
The Carl Zeiss Research Award would like to honor in particular candidates who have already demonstrated initial outstanding academic achievements in the field of optics and photonics.
A sum of 25,000 Euro has (until 2013) been allocated to the award.
The Carl Zeiss Research Award is not a prize for which candidates themselves apply. Nominators are invited to propose potential award-winners. Nominators are prominent and highly respected scientists, researchers or managers in the optics and photonics community.
Starting with 2016 the award won´t be presented by the Ernst-Abbe-Fonds anymore. The CARL ZEISS AG will assume responsibility instead.
